Treatments

Surgical spectrum

  • Minimally invasive arthroplasty of the large joints, specialising in hip/knee/shoulder/ankle replacement, primary and revision surgery
  • Foot and ankle surgery (German Foot and Ankle Association certificate since 2004)
  • Arthroscopic surgery of large joints (including ligament and cartilage, rotator cuff/labrum reconstruction)
  • Fracture treatment of joint and extremity injuries including pelvis and secondary reconstructive surgery

 

Special techniques

  • Minimally invasive direct anterior approach hip joint replacement (primary treatment standard) with/without ROTEX/Condor™ leg holding/hook assist system, AnteriorPATH® Bikini DAA
  • Acetabular/pelvic fractures: ORIF or percutaneous screw osteosynthesis
  • Arthroscopic/mini open correction of femoroacetabular impingement
  • Percutaneous stabilisation of the thoracic spine/lumbar spine
  • Talus and calcaneus fractures
  • Corrective arthrodesis/osteotomies close to the knee joint as well as forefoot and hindfoot for acquired and congenital deformities
  • Patient-specific instrumentation for knee arthroplasty (Prophecy™), in particular for post-traumatic deformity with gonarthrosis, from 11/2015 also upper ankle joint (Infinity™ and Inbone™)
  • Unicondylar knee joint replacement (Persona or Oxford-HS™)
  • Arthroscopic and open cartilage surgery (Microfracture / AMIC /OATS/Coltrix™) entire lower extremity, arthroscopic assist. stabilisation of ACG injuries
  • ACL replacement (semitendinosus primary/quadriceps or patella secondary), healing response technique (own retrospective study)
  • Patellofemoral: MPFL – dynamic reconstruction, tub. Osteotomy, joint replacement, trochleoplasty
